Meeting House Lawn Giclee Print - Benefit Sale
14” x 8” open edition giclee print on archival cotton Moab Entrada Rag Natural paper.* Actual print will not be watermarked, and will be signed. The paper is ever so slightly warm-white and deliciously high quality.
The image is a pencil drawing of one of my favorite places on Earth, Seabeck Conference Center in WA. (Specifically, this is a view from the Meeting House lawn featuring houses Reeser and Tamarack. Seabeck Bay off Hood Canal and the Olympic mountains feature in the background.) July Eliot, an annual family camp hosted here, has had a profound and lasting impact on my life. Seabeck has a special place in my heart, to say the least! This drawing was created in July 2020, during the time I would have been at camp if it weren’t for the pandemic.
50% of profits from each print sold will be donated to to Eliot Institute or directly to Seabeck Conference Center (to help make up for lost revenue this year (events were cancelled due to Covid-19) and aid the completion of the New Pines building) OR donated to another good cause** (including, but not limited to, BLM or climate change related organizations) because boy oh boy there are so many problems in the world to help solve! And because maybe you just like the look of this drawing, but don’t have a personal connection to Seabeck/Eliot. Please let me know at the time of purchase where you would like your donation to go! (Include in the notes section at checkout) The other half of the profits will go to me, because I’m a poor artist and need money too!
Cost breakdown: Production cost is $15.24 for each print (printing + labor + clear bags for packing + shipping of prints from the printer to me). At a list price of $35 per print, this comes out as $19.76 in profit - $9.88 for donation and $9.88 for me.
NOTE: I have a limited number of prints in stock. If these sell out and there is still interest, I can have more made!
*Yes, you can find pre-built frames in this size! The image itself is 12” x 6”. You can frame as is and leave the white border, add a mat, or even trim off the white border and use a 12” x 6” frame. (Prints will be signed on the corner of the image itself, so you won’t lose the signature if you do this. If you know you want your print borderless, let me know in the notes section at checkout and I can trim it for you.)
**If you would like your donation to go elsewhere than Seabeck/Eliot, we need to both agree on the recipient. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm with me before you purchase. While I don’t anticipate conflict, should any occur: in the event that you purchase a print without conferring with me, and we cannot reach an agreement, the donation from your print will go to either Seabeck or Eliot at my discretion.
As always, if you have any questions about this item, please email email@example.com!
