ITEMS PURCHASED BETWEEN 7/10/22 - 8/17/22 WILL NOT SHIP UNTIL AFTER 8/17/22. I’m leaving the shop open, but I will be traveling during this time & unable to ship orders until I return.
This Eagle Wyrm dragon has shades of yellow ochre and brown, with metallic gold accents. The mane and tail tip fur is a special one, with longer black hairs mixed with the muted base.
Eagle Wyrms are a small, legless variety of dragon. They have keen eyesight and hunt mostly insects and spiders. Although it is somewhat dependent on each Eagle Wyrm’s individual personality, most can become loyal pets and can adapt to a wide variety of climates. They make excellent guards for your office, bedroom, treasure chest, model ship, or whatever else you have that could use a small, sharp-eyed dragon to watch over it. Eagle Wyrms can also be posed to sit on your shoulder* and impress your friends.
Eagle Wyrms have resin cast heads, and polymer clay claws & back spines. Their bodies are sewn from a suede-like synthetic knit fabric, stuffed with polyfil and fully wired for excellent posability. Their manes and tails are made of synthetic fur. The main color of the body is the innate color of the fabric; details and shading are done with acrylics. The resin and clay parts are sealed with polyurethane finishes. Eagle Wyrms are approximately 40cm (16”) long with a 31cm (12”) wingspan. They come in two types, short-browed and long-browed, each with a slightly different wing shape.
*I recommend tucking the Eagle Wyrm’s tail under a lightweight backpack strap, and/or devising a simple harness with some string and a safety pin to clip to your shirt, especially if you are taking your pet Eagle Wyrm to a crowded or dusty environment like a comic con or ren fair. These dragons are pretty sturdy, but it’s still best to avoid dropping them frequently - hard or rough surfaces could damage the painted resin/polymer clay parts.
